As a specialist with nearly two decades of policy, strategy, research, advocacy and practice experience in both the primary prevention of and response to violence against women, Emily Maguire share’s Hill and Salter’s concern and frustration with the pace of change. However, the number of inaccurate claims and misrepresentations in their paper has prompted Emily to articulate a response based on her extensive knowledge of what work has actually been undertaken in Australia to date.
